Burien Annex Closure:

Dear Hi-Liners Musical Theatre families and supporters,

You may have heard that our home for the last ten years, the Burien Annex, will be closing forever on January 31, 2020.

While this is potentially devastating to all of the tenants who occupy and share this space, we are all fighting to survive the sudden and unfortunate development...

We at the Hi-Liners Musical Theatre have been extremely fortunate to have been embraced by the Highline Performing Arts Center during the two year remodel going on at the High School. We have been holding weekday classes and rehearsals there since September, and we are now working to move some of our performances there as well. Our search for appropriate venues for all of our spring/summer projects continues, so please keep checking here and on our social media for updates.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to express concern and offer support. People are asking what they can do for us during this challenging time:

FIRST, reassure everyone that we are still open for business and encourage actors age 7-18 to audition for Frozen JR. January 6, 13 & 16. Students as young as 4 can enroll now for spring classes and early registration would be extremely helpful.

SECOND, no matter what, we will not be the same theatre a year from now. We are determined to not only survive but thrive! Please make a donation to HMT to help ensure that we can withstand this unexpected blow. The hard fact is that one day on the stage at the PAC costs the equivalent of one month at the Annex. The venue changes will be very costly, and these new costs were not figured into the budget for the year, so please consider us in your end of year giving. We have never needed it more! Third, there will be some heavy lifting, literally, so please consider helping us move out of the Annex in January.

FINALLY, the best way to keep the doors open is to buy tickets and support the young artists that are the Hi-Liners.

Thank you,

Hi-Liners Musical Theatre
