In addition to developing theatre arts skills, HMT classes can help you develop your ability to speak up in school, increase the creativity going into your homework and improve your classroom presentations. It is documented that having the arts in our lives makes us better students in general!

This class is designed for students who want to become more serious about the craft of acting. Push yourself and enhance your skills. Build confidence, work projection and diction, learn to commit to your acting choices, and increase your chances at your next audition.

Children will practice active listening, following directions, and taking turns, BUT DON'T TELL THEM. They'll think we're just playing games, singing songs, and making up stories.
*If your 6 year old is taking class with us for the first time, they should sign-up for Footlights before taking Imagination Station.

Foundation skills of observation, mimicry, maintaining focus, and cueing are practiced in theatre games, stories and songs. Kids will begin to learn how to collaborate in small groups to create original short plays.

The Playhouse is a place to learn to make the physical and vocal choices necessary to create a character. Students will work on the fundamental theatrical skills of vocal projection, making character choices, creating stage pictures, and collaborating with other actors.

Proper breath control, projection and pitch, as well as harmonizing and reading music will all be touched on in this class. In addition, students will also learn how to pick a good audition piece, how to get their sheet music in the proper key, and how to work a song at home!

Ballet is an essential investment for all of our dancers. It is a HIGH priority for The Hi-Liners to add proper alignment and strong technique to your growth as a musical theatre performer, so we are offering it at a dramatically reduced cost.

An opportunity for young dancers to learn the basics of musical theatre, Intro students will spend half the class on tap fundamentals and the other half on jazz dance.

Musical Theatre tap class for beginners and those who want to enhance their skills.

In the Spring, all classes shift to a rehearsal focus to prepare for our June Recital. You can have a full production experience, complete with costumes, lighting, and a stage performance, but class is still only once a week!
